Situated on Flat Creek right in the heart of Jackson, this property posed some unique challenges to the design team.  Part of the challenge came from two historic log cabins that where in such an advanced state decay that they could not be repaired or moved.  After making the decision to demolish the cabins and build new structures, we worked within the existing cabin footprints to keep encroachment on rare trees and vegetation to a minimum.  In addition to the historic cabins, and rare trees other challenges included a tightly constrained lot with wetland setbacks, flood plain issues, a narrow bridge, and steep hillsides which were all accommodated to create two new structures that blend nicely into the existing landscape.
