The first phase of this project involved a community and landowner workshop to create a neighborhood master plan for the 7-acre parcel of land at the site of the Old Wilson School. The result of this process was a master site plan indicating open space, affordable housing, market rate housing, school district housing and the associated infrastructure. This master plan set the vision for eight of the twenty-six lots for use by The Teton County Housing Authority who developed seven of the eight lots and gave one to Habitat for Humanity for their use.The single family houses range in size from two bedroom/two bath 1,085 square feet units to three bedroom/two bath 1,160 square feet units with attached and detached garages totaling 7,068 square feet.Scheduled for completed in the summer of 2009, this project was TCHA’s first design-build affordable housing project and was also the pilot project for the Teton County Green Building Initiative.
